Good for lunch or diner. Menu has plenty to offer the hungry. Owner is there most of the time so the place is well run. Bacon lettuce sushi is 10 out of 10 & is big enough for a meal - must try.

Ordered Pho. Does not taste anything like Vietnamese pho. Bean sprouts basil and mint were very old lifeless and bad. Waitress rude. Not coming back.

Came to Lady Lake to visit family. The town bores me like no other and everyone wanted to go out to eat. I wasn't expecting much because I find the food options here pretty limited. We're Asian and what other restaurants does my family feel like going to? So we went here. Food was mediocre. I'd rather drive an hour to Orlando to go eat than to eat here.

Very good overall dining experience. Our party had the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour shrimp, and chicken pad Thai. Would recommend all three entrees. Edamame was excellent.

Having traveled all over Asia I have ridiculously high standards, but this place is not bad. It won't blow you away but it's a solid but pricey pan asian restaurant. Dim Sum on Sundays is a nice touch! Very nice decor and friendly service. You won't be disappointed!

I was really hoping on eating good sushis tonight, unfortunately it didn't happen. I took the sushi & sashimi combo. I was expecting something different than just raw fish put on top of carrots but ... Well like the waitress told me that's what I ordered But at least I was expecting good fish and it wasn't. I only ate the salmon off of my 24$ plate. I'm more than disappointed. Service was fine, but a manager who knows how to handle disappointed client would definitely be a plus instead of just saying A kinda it is what it is

I'm a sushi lover! Don't eat the sushi here! I don't think that they serve enough of it to be real fresh. The tuna that we had was almost dark brown not the deep red that I'm used to. One of my wife's tuna rolls had one color tuna on one end and turn it over and it was a different color on the same piece of tuna. First time I didn't finish my sushi. I think that we are going to scratch this place off the list.

Update to three stars. Sushi chef seems to be more professional. Service from wait staff still spotty.

Have been here a few times and was pleasantly surprised to find such a great Asian fusion place near The Villages. Since our move here, there has been a paucity of good restaurants in the area. This is definitely a good one. Good sushi, good dim sum, as well as a variety of other dishes.

Save your cash, petrol and expectations, this place requires new management and head chef. A bowl of hot steaming soup was what we needed during this cold January evening. My girlfriend and I are recent transplants to the small town of Lady Lake, FL, so when we saw that Bamboo Bistro served pho', we were ecstatic. Upon entering, we were welcomed by an upbeat hostess who showed us our table. Our server and the rest of the staff were very nice and accommodating although the place was packed. A dinner meeting was taking place in the middle of the main dining area. Once we were seated and handed our menus, our eyes darted to their pho' list. We were surprised they only had chicken, beef, seafood or combination as choices. Upon perusing their menu, we decided on starting off with shrimp tempura and a Volcano roll followed by two beef pho's. The shrimp tempura was bland. I thought that its dipping sauce would redeem it, but to my dismay, I thought I was dipping into 2 parts water and 1 part soy sauce. I'll skip talking about their Volcano roll, or rather the Not-Volcano Roll. It doesn't erupt with flavor as you would expect from it's name. It's more like a dormant volcano in the Pacific. Now regarding their pho' or what I call faux, I'll break it down into sections: 1. Broth. Any decent human being who's had pho' knows that the secret to a great-tasting pho' is the broth. 2. Noodles. They used flat rice noodles that have obviously been made at an earlier date and only reheated whenever customers order. 3. Meat. Our beef pho' came with pre-cooked slices of beef brisket. Traditional pho' requires partly raw meat to be dunked into steaming hot broth, too cook it slow. This ensures the meat keeps its melt-in-your-mouth quality when eaten. 4. Condiments. Bean sprouts were brown, obviously old. The mint and basil leaves looked a bit wilted, the lime and jalapeno were the ones looking fresh. It's probably because they use the latter two ingredients often. I barely finished my bowl. I managed to pick off some of the meat while my girlfriend finished her broth, but only after adding heaps of soy sauce. It's an over-priced restaurant. The price would've been fine by me if only their food backed up the dollar amount on my receipt. Never coming back to this place. I'll tell everyone I know, every chance I get, so I can spare them the disappointment.

Love this restaurant. Always go for either chicken pho or smiling dragon sushi rolls. They have the best pho I've ever tasted. The smiling dragon is explosive with flavor. On my top 3 favorite restaurants.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Villages. Tonight I had the Dancing Crab special roll. It was $13.00 and delicious. It was a large roll covered in crab salad. We also had shrimp wonton soup that was very good. We love their Mongolian Beef and general tso chicken too. We enjoy the atmosphere and the service is good .

Don't know about their sushi but their Dim Sum as well as their Hoisin BBQ Ribs appetizer is very good. For dessert I will have sesame sweet rice dumpling. Not to sweet, this is just right for me. Far, far superior to the many Chinese buffets nearby.

I am updating to include how sick my husband I got from eating there recently. We ordered a roll that had a lobster salad on top. The salad was warm on top of the cold sushi which is a food safety hazard because the temp is dangerous. I'm so stupid and ate some anyway, 20 hrs later my husband and I couldn't leave the house. I don't remember ever being that sick with food poisoning. I know it's raw fish, and i usually eat here often and know the hazards. I'll be back, but I'll avoid any roll with a salad on top.

Wow! They have fantastic service! It's so rare to be greeted and treated well by the owner. She's attentive and listened to a small quip my friend had without being rude. My friend wished his curry was stronger. (Which you can request. We didn't know that.) I enjoyed my food. I will be coming back! Also, they have those puffy mints. I love those.

I moved to the Lady Lake area about 18 months ago and have been eating at Bamboo Bistro at least twice a month ever since. I love the atmosphere and the staff is always very friendly. I've only ever eaten the sushi so I can't comment on the other menu options, but I love the variety of the rolls, the presentation, and the taste. The specialty sushi rolls are a great value for the price! The only thing that could make this place better for me is a cocktail menu!

Last time I said it goes up and down. This time ...... UP. Service has improved very nicely and food remains consistently good. I am NOT a Sushi lover. The rest of the menu is very good. TRY IT ..... YOU WILL LIKE IT!

This place is like Yelp says "A-OK". They offer Asian cuisine with a very western flare. Truthfully it's not bad, but it is far from traditional cuisine, so if you are a sushi buff or really into Japanese food, this place really isn't for you. They are middle of the road for me, I like it enough to eat there if I'm hungry and nearby... But I wouldn't drive too far for this one, as it's not as good as it gets.

This restaurant provides consistently good food, freshly prepared and distinctive. Our group of four shared three starters, ribs, prawn dumplings and chicken lettuce wrap. All were good but the ribs outstanding. For the mains we again shared, pad Thai, Mongolian beef, general Taos chicken and sea bass in black bean sauce. With the exception of the sea bass the dishes were excellent, the consensus was that the fish was rather bland, although that did not take away too much from an overall very good experience. The opinion of those on the table was that the Bamboo Bistro is the best fusion restaurant in the area with high quality food, good service and a realistic price structure.

Finally had the opportunity to visit Bamboo Bistro & was very impressed! We ordered 2 Sushi rolls (which were neat & fresh & delicious!) , as well as a Wok selection ... The Coconut Chicken Soup is unique & very tasty!. We had a wonderful server & enjoyed the outside seating area. We'll return on a rainy day when we can sit inside at the Sushi Bar & watch the prep. =)

I don't know why this is getting such good reviews. I thought it was below par. The service was very slow, the food mediocre.nothing to entice me back.

This was our second visit and we were very pleased. We have tried the Mongolian beef, the Sechwan chicken, egg food young and several of their appetizers and soups. All were either excellent of very good. Their atmosphere is pretty nice too. We plan on going again.
